Custom Spaces Sustainable and Responsible

In this project, we were required to design a room dedicated to musical exploration, allowing the family to entertain and have jam sessions with friends. Located in the basement of a bungalow, the challenge was to brighten the space while trying to dampen the sound. We therefore opted for contrasting colours, the addition of different light sources as well as draperies and a rug to absorb vibrations. The custom-made acoustic accent wall was perfectly matched to the piano which also underwent a facelift: complete sanding, repairs, staining and painting included. The addition of a custom-made piece of furniture, resulting from the recycling of cabinetmaking materials, allowed the perfect integration of the bulkhead with the additional aesthetic of a functional storage space.

When homeowners give us carte blanche to create a room that’s out of the ordinary, we have a blast. This powder room, created in collaboration with ESPÉ (https://espemtl.com/en/), was intended to be a reflection of elegance and femininity. The precise design of the coffered ceiling was our favorite part of the process. The layering of clean lines and subtle textures creates a rich and soft atmosphere at the same time. Proof that even the smallest of rooms can exude calm and beauty.

The pink bathroom from the 1950s no longer had its place in this renovated residence in the Town of Mont-Royal. The owners sought to modernize it with noble and timeless materials, in addition to making it more functional for a family with young teenagers. Ease of maintenance and a space reserved for everyone were a must. Relaxation was also called for, so a comfortable and well-appointed bath was part of the order. Created in collaboration with ESPÉ (https://espemtl.com/en/), this master bathroom received VIP treatment, worthy of large hotels. Marble, walnut, walk-in shower and integrated lighting: a perfect recipe for well-deserved relaxation at the end of a long day.

Sometimes it happens that the house we live in no longer reflects our needs, especially with a growing family. In this major renovation project, carried out in collaboration with ESPÉ (https://espemtl.com/en/), we took into consideration the major irritants and the family’s lifestyle to redesign the ground floor and the first floor of this house in the Town of Mont-Royal. Everything has been redesigned, including the structure of the load-bearing walls of the kitchen in order to enlarge it, the addition of a bathroom for the children and a large office space in addition to the relocation of a bedroom and modernizing the master bathroom. Timeless, with soft and bright colors, the living area on the ground floor is now suitable for entertaining for all occasions, for a family who loves sharing good food in good company.

Who says a basement bathroom can’t be charming? When their second child arrived, the owners of this bungalow had to move their master bedroom to the basement. The existing bathroom was dull and poorly arranged, in addition to the miniature shower that leaked; it was in dire need of a facelift. Thanks to marble-effect PVC panels, a bidet toilet and efficient relocation of appliances, this bathroom, which also accommodates the laundry room, now provides parents with a favorite place for relaxation and well-being.
